System Administrator / Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)

Location: Halle/Saale (Germany)

Twinner is an international technology company with a focus on digitization in the automotive industry. With our solutions, vehicles are completely measured digitally, e.g. in 3D and 360 degrees, in order to make these data available to our customers. For this purpose we develop and operate scan robots globally, as well as a number of Cloud services for processing the data, e.g. via machine learning.

Your area of responsibility

The Cloud Engineer’s task is to operate and optimize modern infrastructures for the operation of a global B2B/B2C web application. Ideally, you are already familiar with some of the following technologies:

Your Profile

Server Administration

  • General administration Linux and/or Windows (bash/sh, PowerShell, systemd, init, grub, cron etc.)
  • Experience with common systems such as sendmail, bind9, openldap, openvpn, pam, Apache/NginX, Java, DHCP etc.
  • Configuration Management for Linux (e.g. Chef, Ansible, Puppet)
  • Databases (knowledge of at least one SQL- and NoSQL-DB, troubleshooting, performance, replication, sharding, disaster recovery)
  • Hardening of operating systems and services/databases
  • Service and log monitoring (e.g. Nagios, rsyslog, Kibana, Prometheus, Zabbix)
  • Backup/Recovery concepts and implementations experience with corresponding tools
  • High availability (heartbeat, cluster file systems, load balancers, failovers, etc.)


  • Basics (Routing, Troubleshooting, Performance)
  • Protocols (ARP, SNMP, IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP etc.)
  • Security/Hardening (DMZ, Security Zones, VPN, vLAN, Firewalls, IPS/IDS)

Cloud Infrastructure

  • Experience with cloud providers/stacks (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google, OpenStack)
  • DevOps Handling e.g. infrastructure templates (IaC)
  • Knowledge of common services (workflow engines, message queues, CDNs, lambda/functions, storage types, cloud databases, autoscaling, monitoring, high availability)
  • Hardware and OS virtualization
  • Experiences with the Docker universe (e.g. Registry, Swarm Mode, Kubernetes, Mesos, Openshift, Ranger etc.)


  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines and Processes
  • Version management with e.g. git (flow etc.)
  • Deployment (Jenkins, A/B, Green/Blue, Rolling, Rollbacks)
  • Experience with IT Management and Tools (e.g. ITIL)
